Before Downloading and Installing the JWAVE Evaluation

The JWAVE evaluation product is a full-featured, advanced VDA application. If you are evaluating this product for the first time, please take time to read the release notes and system requirements before installation. The online JWAVE Users Guide will give you additional instructions about installation and setup of the JWAVE Server and Client Development Kit.

To successfully install and run this evaluation version of JWAVE, your system must have the following components:

• The Java Development Kit (JDK) version 1.2 or 1.3 is required.
• The JWAVE 2.0 server requires the Java Runtime Environment (JRE) 1.3 or later.
• The JWAVE Beans in the JWAVE Client Development kit require Sun's Swing 1.0.3 or later and can be imported into the most commonly used Java Integrated Development Environments (IDEs).
• Internet Explorer 5.5 or Netscape 4.76 or later.
• A softkey is needed to unlock the JWAVE evaluation version before it can be used. Filling out the evaluation form will automatically issue a request for a softkey, which will be sent to you as soon as possible.
